Produce Bag November 15th

Every week we expect a smaller produce bag, but we still have a lot in the Field, and even more that will be ready for the final field picking in a few weeks.  We planted another round of Beets, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Broccoli, in the field which has been under frost cover, and we expect to have Broccoli in the next week or so, depending on the weather we will see how large we can manage to grow it before the snow starts to fly and the daytime temperatures remain below zero.
The greenhouse is growing, the Lettuce Mix and Radish will be ready to pick in the next few weeks, and Turnips and Spinach are not far behind.  The Kale is the most impressive to us as we didn’t expect to be able to pick before January, but we already have great sized leaves, and our goal of Kale throughout the year will likely be possible!
November 29th will be another round of fresh Chicken, if you would like to order and stock up for winter, we have a lot available. These will be smaller and in the 4-6lb range.  Any remaining we will freeze for pickup throughout the winter as we wait for Spring to return.  For those wondering, on December 5th the last 5 pigs goto Ken R. Mogk butcher shop, and we will once again have Onion Sage Sausage, Peameal Bacon, Back Bacon, and the Thick Cut Bacon.
